ALBANY – Union leaders, school-board officials, teachers and state leaders will among those serving on a task force aimed to finds ways to improve the controversial Common Core education standards in New York.
And they will be aiming to cut down on the testing.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo pledged to install the task force amid growing criticism of the tougher tests for students spurred by the national movement toward higher standards.
